Onassis STEGI > Hackathens 2020 (Online)

Onassis STEGI are inviting applications from artists, designers, developers, musicians, lawyers or anyone else interested for a four-week e-research programme aiming at developing digital works addressing the question of ‘what comes after?’. Proposals may include fiction or non-fiction essays, games, photo-essays, 3D visualisations, video, net art, net installations, apps, and other experimental digital media. The Culture at Work Africa implementing consortium has launched a call for professionals with proven experience in project evaluation in the fields of cultural cooperation and development in Africa, to carry out the external evaluation of their three-year EU-funded project. The evaluation will start in July 2020, with a preliminary report due in November 2020 and the final report sue in June 2021. Deadline: 30 May 2020.

Japan Foundation > Call for Proposals for International Cultural Exchanges During the COVID-19 Crisis

The Japan Foundation, Bangkok is seeking project proposals for new ideas and approaches on how to implement and/or experiment with cultural exchange projects in light of the coronavirus pandemic. The call is open to individuals, teams and non-profit anisations of any nationality. Proposed projects are expected to promote cultural exchange between Japan-Thailand and/or regional exchange in Asia. Deadline: 30 May 2020.

LOCALIZE > Center Shock Open Call (Germany)

The next edition of the festival LOCALIZE will take place in Potsdam 17 September – 17 October 2020. The anisers are calling for projects – in corona-compatible formats – that question what we call the ‘center’ of a city, and that rediscover public space through artistic and playful approaches. One artist will be selected to receive a scholarship and spend two weeks working intensively with the festival and the city. Deadline: 31 May 2020.

ecce > Co-production Residencies for Joint Projects (Germany)

The european centre for creative economy (ecce) is launching a new programme to promote interdisciplinary cooperation between artists and creatives from the Ruhr Region and Europe. Collaborators make a joint application, and if successful will receive financial support as well as undertaking a residency in the Ruhr Region. Residencies last 3-5 months and will take place inside the period 1 November 2020 – 24 March 2021. Deadline: 30 June 2020.

Fanak Fund has opened a fund supporting artistic and cultural mobility in the Euro-Arab-speaking Middle East region, and from this region to the rest of the world. Artists and cultural operators living and working in Europe, the Arab-speaking world, and the Middle East can apply. Priority is given to mobility from the Arab speaking region to the Middle East and vice versa. Deadline: 31 August 2020.
